Our Name & Logo

Rooted in History

The name Bella Magnolia means a lot to us.

Originally from Louisiana, our roots are and always have been in the south. We feel the Magnolia flower was the perfect representation of our principles: dignity, purity, and growth. Bella was the perfect partner, as it represents our homes: beautiful and charming.

As we created our logo, we were intentional in the colors we chose.

Needless to say, we take every piece of this business seriously and personally. We understand the value of our homeowners, and we strive to reflect these core principles in everything we do.

White represents purity and integrity.

Yellow represents success and good fortune.

Green represents prosperity and growth.

Blue symbolizes truth and integrity.

How We Got Started

Robert Duck has been in the construction industry in one way or another for several decades.

While working for another company, Robert had the privilege of building a house for a man named Mike Eldridge. After a successful build, Mike was impressed with Robert’s work and customer service and told him, “you need to start your own company.”

Robert had felt like he wanted change for some time. He’d seen companies treat clients poorly, and believed the industry could be different! Robert believes in a strong relationship between the builder and the custom homeowner, and he insists that “we are going to have fun!”

But, he hadn’t thought seriously about venturing out on his own until Mike approached him about it. Not long after, they became a team.

Together, they bring honesty, integrity, and community everywhere they go. The Bella Magnolia Custom Homes values are important to them and the homeowners are even more so.

We make every effort to get it done efficiently and professionally. We are blessed to have the ability to work with some of the absolute best contractors in the great state of Oklahoma.

We vet and hand select each of our subcontractors to get the best possible quality and craftsmanship.

Robert Duck

Building Lead

My building knowledge started by working in the construction business in the summers to earn money to study architecture at Louisiana State University. It was during that time that I worked on remodeling private and historical homes in South Louisiana.

I moved to Oklahoma after college to renovate an apartment complex in Enid, Oklahoma. There, I met my future wife Angie in the summer of 1999, and we married in 2002.

After completing the renovation in Enid, we moved to Edmond, Oklahoma and started working for Flint Co as a finish carpenter. Some of the properties I worked on included the Reese Plaza at Hefner Lake, The University of Oklahoma football stadium and the New Federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

I opened my trim carpentry business in 2003 and continued until I was afforded the opportunity to build a large custom home in Surry Hills in 2011. After the completion of a second custom home in Piedmont, Oklahoma, I fell in love with the process of building custom homes.

For years, I accepted full time employment working for other builders, which I used to gain more knowledge and experience in building homes. I was not happy with the way many builders treated buyers with little to no options in building their homes. I wanted buyers to enjoy the process and get the desired home that they dreamed of owning.

After 35 years in the home building business, I felt the time was now to start building families the home of their dreams. Now, I’m proud to be the co-founder of Bella Magnolia Custom Homes. It’s truly my pride and joy.

We serve Oklahomans.

Primarily working in the Oklahoma City metro, we are passionate about serving people and welcome inquiries across the state.

We only take up to 20 homes at a time.

We intentionally don’t spread ourselves too thin so that we have the bandwidth to focus on you and your home. That being said, the sooner you contact us, the better!

We build homes from 1,800 sq ft and up

That’s a large range! But, we’re up for the challenge. Of course, we’ll entertain offers outside of this range, but this is our sweet spot.

We use spray foam insulation.

There are a variety of insulation options. We chose spray foam insulation for the new built. It is more efficient for your heating and cooling needs, protects your attic from dramatic temperature shifts and we’ve built it into the cost of your home.

We use post tension concrete foundations.

We believe this foundation practice will keep your home strong and extend its life.

We offer floor plan options, or will build your custom plans.

Whether you have a plan or just getting started we can help with the decision making process. We can build and modify one of our Bella Magnolia Custom Home plans or work off and or modify plans of your own.
